July Newsletter

Hi and Happy 4th of July!

Cookouts, fireworks, music, family, friends, etc....all part of the patriotic celebration!  Hope each one of you has a 'blast' on the 4th.  In spite all, we still have a great nation!  As we visit different communities, we're reminded of the backbone of the USA ... God-fearing, hard-working, good, honest citizens!  It's just the nature of a TRUE American to rise to the occasion.  God bless America!

Exciting news...2008 DVD of our family!  We are excited to FINALLY be able to offer something that includes the boys!  This DVD is a compilation from some of the shows we've done this year.  We have included 11 songs, traditional and gospel.  You can purchase one on the 'Music' page through PayPal.  Hope you enjoy a taste of our family 'live'.

If you've already been to our website, you would have noticed a makeover.  The site has been redesigned to incorporate recent pictures taken of the group by Heidi Eck.  Many thanks goes to Heidi for her patience with us during the photo shoot and also to Margo Terrapin for allowing us to use her front porch for the setting.  The site will continue to be a work-in-progress as we update the pages.  Hope you enjoy the new look!

While on our site, check out the 'Photos' page.  We have included a link to Lorey Barnum's photography site where you'll find several pictures he took of us at the Acoustic Music Festival in Carthage, MO.  One of the pictures he took of Logan won 'Photo of the Day' on another site.  Thanks Lorey, for all the pictures!

We've got a busy weekend coming up.  Friday evening, 5:00pm, we'll be playing in Coffeyville at Walter Johnson Park.  Saturday, we're heading to Missouri to spend some time with family and friends.  Then on Sunday, we'll be in Independence, KS at the First Church of the Nazarene, 10:30 am.

Also this month, we'll be performing at the Labette County Fair, Oswego, KS.  We'll be there July 29, 6:30 pm.  As always, we enjoy seeing our friends as we travel around.

One more thing of interest...Travis will be turning 14 on July 15th.  Driver's Permit, here he comes!

Keep watching our schedule, we've been adding some dates.  Maybe we'll see you 'down the road'.  May God bless you!

Until next time...

Lynette (for the rest of the Coles)
